Cape Town, South Africa’s world class tourist destination, is facing its worst drought in recorded history. Following three dry winters, city dwellers are confronted with the possibility of Day Zero; the day when taps run dry and people will have to line up behind policed water points, for 25 liters of water per person, per day. We venture into the conditions that gave rise to the crisis; see how ordinary citizens are coping with severe water restrictions, and try to find out what this means for the future of water in Cape Town.
