A murder that deeply affected the Swedish nation and gave echo all over the world.

The narrative of the films is the real life crime drama of the ten dark hours before and after the Prime Minister was shot to death on the streets of Stockholm. 

The documentary will be broadcast in 2016, thirty years after the murder. It is a depiction of Palme’s last years as a politician with a focus on how his death fundamentally changed the country and impacted today's society and public debate. 

The documentary features interviews with friends and family of Olof Palme, such as his son Mårten Palme, as well as several of the public figures of his time; among them, Prime Minister Ingvar Carlsson, Chancellor Helmut Schmidt and the Deputy General-Secretary of the United Nations Jan Eliasson.

Interviewed for the documentary are also the current head of the Swedish Secret Service, and the police inspector and attorney today in charge of the still open murder investigation.
