In 2012, the North Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries invited Norwegian conceptual artist Morten Traavik to co-host the first-ever Norwegian cultural festival in the North Korean capital of Pyongyang. The date chosen for the festival was 17 May, Norway's Constitution Day.

In his homeland, Traavik's involvement in North Korea aroused heated debate and was strongly criticized by politicians and human rights organizations. But Traavik staunchly defended his actions, claiming that boycotts and sanctions have done nothing to help the downtrodden citizens of the country.

'Yes, we love this country', the title of the Norwegian national anthem, was adopted as the name of Traavik's festival in Pyyongyang. This documentary puts viewers in the centre of this controversial project, compelling them to make up their own minds as to whether it is right or wrong to engage so closely with one of the most brutal and oppressive regimes in the world.
