Wild About Cartoons is a 52 episodes long TV-show, broadcasted by NRK Super, TV2 Denmark, Multimania and TRT. In the show Øistein travels around the world to meet and get inspiration from various animals. Afterwards he learns us to draw the animals he has seen. Wild about Cartoons is a step-by-step cartoon drawing show presented in a lively and energetic way by international cartoonist Øistein Kristiansen. In each episode he travels to a new destination to check out exotic animals for later to draw them in his studio.
All the cartoons are designed to be as simple and logic as possible for children to follow. As the episodes progresses, Øistein draw animals form around the world, fish, birds, dinosaurs, monsters and fantasy creatures. The setting and monologue is simple to focus the children’s attention on the visual drawing. The step-by-step demonstrations are accompanied with a comprehensive voice over explaining the logic build up of each step.
Øistein Kristiansen is a Norwegian cartoonist, caricaturist, painter, and
multi talented designer. He has lived and worked in Norway and Singapore for the last 15
years and undertaken commissions from the world¹s largest advertising
agencies as well as publications like Vogue, Elle and Mad magazine.
Øistein is both an accomplished stage art performer as well as an acting
talent on TV. He has entertained live audiences around the world, and has produced a wide range of tv-shows, books and educational courses.
A prolific creative talent in the field of Art, Øistein has unceasingly applied his genius to the development of Imagination in Children.
