Martin Holst is the dynamic CEO of the pharmaceutical manufacturer Holst Medicals. When his son Jonas is kidnapped and turned into an innocent pawn in a much greater game, Martin loses control not only over his family and the company, but over his whole life. Before long he is forced to reevaluate everything he used to take for granted.

This is a high-budget TV thriller in 8 parts, about power, deceit, family and careers. “Medicine Man” is packed with stars like Swedish Mikael Persbrandt and Danish Bjarne Henriksen, and is directed by the award-winning directors Kjell Sundvall and Daniel Lind Lagerlof. It is produced by Jarowskij, Scandinavia’s largest independent production company. “Medicine Man” was aired in Sweden in September 2005, and captured an impressive 42.5% of the audience. “High quality action drama plays an important part in the schedule of a commercial broadcaster, and we are committed to further productions of this type” says Åsa Sjoberg, Head of Commissioning at TV4 in Sweden. The series has sold to Germany, Austria, Denmark, Norway and the Former Republic of Yugoslavia.
